Chapter History

Zeta Tau Alpha was founded on October 15, 1898 in FarmVille, Virginia. Mississippi State's chapter is the Gamma Zeta chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha. Gamma Zeta is the 79th link out of 249 links in the chain of chapters. Gamma Zeta was founded on the weekend of April 20, 1940 by Florence Dunn. In 1985, our house was built. It was the first sorority house built on the campus of Mississippi State.
