Chapter Philanthropy and Service
As a member of Zeta Tau Alpha, you are automatically given the opportunity to touch the lives of many women and men everywhere. Our national philanthropy Breast Cancer Education and Awareness plays an important role by emphasizing the significance of self-checks, providing knowledge, and promoting research. ZTA chapters throughout the country hold various events to promote knowledge and awareness, along with raise funds. The sisters of the Gamma Zeta Chapter love holding events because not only is it a great time for sisterhood, but also a way to spread awareness on campus and throughout the community.
Our most popular events are our Late Nights, with our Cinnamon Roll Late Night selling warm cinnamon rolls until around midnight, and our recent Brownies for Breast Cancer, selling brownies baked by our very own house chefs along with many choices of toppings. The Zetas also hold Strawberry Sales each spring semester, selling fresh strawberries to friends, families, professors, and the community to combine our ZTA symbol of the strawberry, along with our passion for our philanthropy. Another new event our chapter has held is our Kiss Away Cancer event, which we held on the Drill Field. The Gamma Zeta chapter has also held other events such as a dodgeball competition between sororities and fraternities, and Writing for the Cure, which allowed people to send shower cards and pink ribbons to their loved ones in order to further advocate education and awareness.
The ladies of the Gamma Zeta chapter strive to reach many lives through the works for our philanthropy and to “think in terms of all mankind and our service to the world.”
Our current philanthropy chair is Alyssa Pace.
