Sisterhood

Sisterhood is the heart and soul of our Gamma Zeta Chapter. Sisterhood events will help us develop bonds that we will keep as ours forever.  Sisters become closer to one another through active events that help us learn and share our experiences together. Here’s a list of all our events from this past year.

“Remembering always that the foundation precept of Zeta Tau Alpha was Love, the greatest of all things.”

SISTERHOOD FALL 2019:

ZTA Picnic

To kick off the school year, we had a picnic with burgers from Mugshots in our house's courtyard. We also had Starkvegas Snowballs catered to our house as a special dessert, and then had several raffle prizes for our sisters!

Lock-In

In October, we had a Halloween sisterhood event where we decorated pumpkins, cookies, and brownies! We then watched the movie Halloweentown, and ended the night with our out-of-house members sleeping over in the ZTA house!

Fall Retreat

For the fall semester sisterhood retreat, we all went to Event Zona in Tupelo, Mississippi! At Event Zona, we played lazer tag, several arcade games, and bowled with our sweet sisters!

SISTERHOOD SPRING 2019:

"New Year New Me"

We kicked off the new year with a workout/hip hop class taught by one of our very own sisters, as well as a healthy brunch.

Galentine's Day:

In February, we had a pajama party at the house, ate pizza, decorated valentine's cookies, and watched "27 Dresses".

Spring Retreat:

In, April, we had Mugshots' burgers and Bops' ice cream catered to our house, and we had competitions between our founders groups. Then, we ended the night by going to see the live action "Dumbo" at the theaters.

SISTERHOOD FALL 2018:

Skate Event:

We started off by rolling into fall semester with a back to school skating event at Skate Odyssey, we also used this event as a way for our new members to meet as many sisters as possible.

Zeta Sisterhood Retreat:

In September was our big sisterhood retreat at Old Mountain Outdoor Adventure Park. This event included zip lining, obstacle courses, trampolines, treasure hunts, and a campfire with smores at sunset on the top of the mountain overlook to end off the night.

Cupcake Wars:

In November, we had a Cupcake Wars decorating competition, with prizes given to the best decorators.

Family Christmas Party:

In December, we held our annual Family Christmas Party, consisting of an ugly sweater contest, all types of sweet Christmas treats, and a service project packing shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child.

SISTERHOOD SPRING 2018:

Movie Showing:

We went to Hollywood Premier Cinema and watched "The Greatest Showman." We all dressed up in our pajamas and had a fun musical night at the movies!

Annual Galentines Day:

We had a pajama themed sleepover with lots of pizza, all pink desert bar, old school slumber party games and watched a classic, "The Notebook."

Bowling & Laser Tag:

During March we took a trip to GT Lanes for a bowling and laser tag tournament! Before all that fun began we had Zaxby's catered. The theme of this event was 80s workout which went perfectly with the glow in the dark bowling and laser tag.

Zeta Sisterhood Retreat:

A retreat is always the biggest event of the semester! The theme of our retreat was "ReTreat Yo' Self" it was a spa day at the ZTA House. Including Cracker Barrel Brunch, a private pure barre class, a Mary Kay skin care class complete with face masks, a sweet treat from Starkvegas Snowballs, a build-your-own bath bomb making activity. To top it off we ended with a raffle for Kendra Scott jewelry & Lululemon gift cards.

See ya Starkville:

Our final event of the semester was a end of the year party called "See ya Starkville." This event took place before our last chapter and was a dinner consisting of all Starkville's favorite foods, such as Little Dooey's, Stromboli's, The Bin, and Starkvegas Snowballs. Everyone also received matching t-shirts to commemorate the event.
